An Automatic Power Factor Correction (APFC) Panel is a smart solution designed to improve the power factor of electrical systems automatically. Power factor is a critical aspect of energy efficiency in any industrial or commercial setup, and low power factor leads to increased power consumption, higher electricity bills, and penalties from utility companies.
The APFC panel operates by monitoring the reactive power in the system and switching capacitor banks in and out as needed to maintain the desired power factor level, typically close to unity (1.0). This automatic switching is controlled by an advanced microprocessor-based relay that continuously monitors load fluctuations and adjusts the capacitor banks accordingly.
